CLUB NOTES

Many thanks to all who attended our AGM last Sunday, the AGM witnessed a change in chairman position with Gerard Hannigan stepping down after 6 years to be replaced by Niall McNulty, we wish Niall all the best in the role and pay a special tribute to Gerard for all he has done for the club in the past 6 years.

The club are delighted to announce two new initiatives, on Sunday mornings at 11:00 at Pairc Gheardhromma we have ‘Get Dromore Moving – Social Sunday’s’ which is a gentle run or walk around the grounds for all ages and abilities, we had a great turnout last Sunday and hope even more can come along this week.  Also starting next Wednesday (24th) at the pitch at 11:00 we are launching a ‘Men’s Walking Group’ which is aimed at older men in our community, it is a social walk around the grounds, a chance to catch up with other men of similar age and have a bit of craic along the way.

We are delighted to announce that a new round of Ranganna Gaelige, Irish language classes has started and continues on Monday evenings in St. John’s School, Bunrang 1 (Complete beginners) is from 7:00-7:45, Bunrang 2 (beginner improvers) is from 7:45-8:30 and Meanrang (Intermediate) is from 7:00-8:00, everyone welcome to come along and join the ever growing Irish language speaking community in Droim Mór.

The club launched our Club History book ‘Dromore St. Dympna’s Club and Parish’ last Saturday evening and the book has been getting great reviews already. As can be easily seen a tremendous amount of work has went into this book over the last few years and it will be of interest to all associated with Dromore.  Books are priced at £20 each and will be available for purchase in Montague’s Shop or can be bought online via the link on our club website and social media, postage can be arranged at an additional cost.

*** A reminder that all winnings can be collected in Montague’s Costcutter, Dromore and online winnings can also be collected via cheque or paypal by contacting treasurer.dromore.tyrone@gaa.ie by email ***

Please Note

The prize amounts above are what each winner will receive.
