CLUB NOTES
On Sunday past, our Seniors defeated Coalisland 0-13 to 0-06 in the league semi final at home in Gardrum Park. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Eoin McCusker who suffered a nasty facial injury in the dying moments of the game. The seniors now play Killyclogher in the league final this Sunday at 2:00 in Loughmacrory. Best of luck to everyone involved. The reserve championship final has been rescheduled for next weekend. Date and Venue TBC.
Sunday also saw the opening of the Canon Tom Breen Stand in Gardrum Park. A truly brilliant achievement by all involved and a fitting tribute to the man himself. Many thanks to everyone who donated towards the stand and made it happen.
The final of the Paul McGirr U16 Club Champions Tournament between St. Eunan’s Letterkenny and Warrenpoint St. Peters has been rescheduled for this Saturday at 2:00. All stewards are to report for 12:30.
Best wishes go to our Scor Na nOg instrumental music group of Megan Maguire, Michaela McCusker, Eilish Maguire, Kevin Teague and Ciaran Teague who compete in the county final in St. Josephs Hall this Sunday afternoon.
There is coaching for the U8’s taking place from 6:15 to 7:15 on Wednesday evenings in the Sports Complex and the U10’s are from 7:00 to 8:00 on Thursday evenings.
Our Running / Walking group has recommenced on Thursday evenings at 8:00 at Gardrum Park. This is free of charge to anyone in the parish and all ages and fitness levels are welcome.
The first two of the five week Xmas draws have now taken place. Week 1 winners were Eirinn Threadwell with £250, Hugh J McDonnell with £100 and C & S Mc Cormack with £50. Week 2 winners were Clodagh Mullan winning £250, Sean McSorley with £100 and Ruairi Gallagher with £50.
