We lost to Carna Caiseal in the opening round of the senior championship played in Pearse Stadium on Saturday evening by 0-9 to 2-6, and we now enter the losers group knowing that a second defeat will mean relegation playoffs. Damien Comer opened our scoring with a point in the fourth minute and he shot number two twelve minutes later, Aidan Burke got our third point with seven minutes to the break and Comer scored his third just before half time to leave up trailing at the break by 0-4 to 1-4, Carna Caiseal goal came from a penalty after ten minutes. The second half began with two Comer points to make it a one point game but we conceded a second goal on four minutes that we never recovered from, Frankie Burke added two second half points and Comer added the other. Our annual football camp runs from July 6th-10th with registration taking place on the following dates in Cregg: Tuesday June 2nd 7pm-8pm/ Wednesday June 3rd 7pm-8pm/ Sunday June 7th 11am-12pm. We beat Mountbellew-Moylough in the Div 8 league by 3-13 to 2-14 and drew with Caherlistrane in Div 5 at 1-9 each; our seniors play Milltown in the Div 1 league in Cregg on Friday evening at 8.00
