This week’s lotto numbers: 9,13,22,24, no winners Pat Creaven won the promoter’s prize and next jackpot €10.600 thanks for the continued support. Our Minor ‘B’ football team qualified for the county final against Oughterard after beating Oranmore-Maree in the North GPC final in Tuam Stadium last Saturday by 1-11 to -9, leading at the break by six points thanks to scores from Pete Lynch who scored the goal and points from Eoin Curry with five and Adam Quirke who scored two while Brian Tarpey shot Oranmore’s four as they trailed by 0-4 to 1-7 at half time. The second half began with two early points from Eoin Curry and Nathan Fallon to increase our lead to eight points after six minutes but two points from Brian Tarpey kept Oranmore –Maree in touch but Curry added another mid way through the half before the losers shot three points in a row Brian Tarpey with two and the other from Conor Tarpey to close the gap to four points and they were also guilty of very poor shooting in front of goal, but than was as close as the got with sub Darragh Fahy scoring Annaghdown’s last point as the game entered injury time.
