Our minor footballers beat Ballinasloe by 3-11 to 3-6 and are now in the North semi-final against Caherlistrane on next Monday evening in Tuam Stadium at 7.00 please support.



Our ‘Night at the Dogs’ is on this Saturday night at the Galway Greyhound Track, tickets are € 20 and are on sale from players and committee, we are doing a door to door sales drive this week, please support and our prizes are €1000 first prize and 5 x€100 lucky dip and the ticket includes Race Card and Admission and children under 16 (accompanied by an Adult) free.



Our junior football team are in the North GPC championship final against Tuam Stars after beating St Gabriels in Menlough on Saturday, we lead at the break by four points 1-6 to 0-5 with Keith Greaney in top scoring form, it was good solid display from a team that went into game as underdogs but we showed great spirit and were always first to ball in defence and were in command around middle which gave our forwards a good supply of procession but we had withstand a fierce finish from St Gabriels as they in search of the levelling  goal but we held out to win by 1-12 to 0-12 The team was: J Healy, J Kerin, S Moylan, C Coen, M Naughton, M Duggan (0-1), J Comer, A Connaughton, I Burke (0-1), D Newell, K Greaney (1-8), T Burke, M Scully, D Melia (0-1). Subs J P Burke (0-1), P.J Fahy.



In Corofin on Friday evening we were beaten by Athenry in the junior a championship and we now go into back door section, we trailed at half time by nine points 0-4 to 2-7 with points from Tomas Murphy who scored two and one each from Johnny Murphy and Stephen Potter.  In the second we out scored Athenry by 0-9 to 0-2 but we could not find that late goal to win the game and lost out by 0-13 to 2-9. We had second half scores from J Murphy 0-3, J Flaherty 0-2, T Forde 0-2, E Kerin 0-1 and T Murphy 0-1.



In the Div 1 league we beat Menlough on Saturday in Menlough by 2- 12 to 1-8, we have played six games with three remaining against St James away, Leitir Mor at home and Mountbellew-Moylough away. We lead by four points at half against Menlough 1-6 to 0-5 with Frankie Burke scoring 1-1, Chris Greaney 0-3, Enda Mullarkey 0-1 and Aidan Burke 0-1.The second half saw scores from Frankie Burke 1-3, N Kinneen 0-2, B Dooley 0-1,

A special thanks who helped on Sunday in the pitch for our double header including, our car park stewards, the ladies club for the refreshments, Aisling and Katie on the scoreboard and the workers who mowed and lined the pitch.
