We played two junior football games on Sunday, in the championship we beat Kilkerrin-Clonberne in Tuam Stadium by 3-13 to 0-6, there was only three points between the sides at the break as we lead by 0-8 to 0-5 with points from Keith Greaney 0-5, Cathal Og Coen 0-1, P J Fahy 0-1, Diarmuid Newell 0-1, in the second half our goals came from Greaney, Fahy and sub Dara Melia with points from James Healy, Ian Burke, Aidan Connaughton, Martin Scully and Johnny Comer and we now play Claregalway in the quarter final, the team was: J Healy, C Coen, S Moylan, J Kerin, M Duggan, M Naughton, D Dennigan, A Connaughton, J Comer, T Burke, D Newell, K Greaney, I Burke, M Scully, P.J.Fahy, subs used D Melia, P Burke.



In Cregg on Sunday we beat Milltown in the Div 8 North league by 5-13 to 3-11, at the break we lead by four points 2-7 to 2-3 but we trailed by 2-9 to 3-11 as we entered the closing stages but 3-4 without replay sealed the victory. The team was: S Curry, N Greaney, I O ‘Dowd, D Kerr, L Joyce, S Burke (0-2), C Small, L O’Flynn, T Forde (0-1), S Potter (1-5), T Murphy (2-5), C Maloney, J Reilly, J Murphy (2-0), B Greaney. Subs: E Naughton M Devaney.



In Minor football championship we beat Williamstown by 3-10 to 1-10.



Ladies Football



Well done to our Intermediate Ladies who had a comfortable win over Gráinne Mhaols in their league on Sunday evening last.



Well done to all involved with U13/U15 development programme held in the club on Monday last. A total of 60 children attended.



Congratulations to club player Bronagh Quinn, the U16 Galway Panel along with their manager Gary Donnellan and his selectors on becoming Connaught Champions last Sunday by defeating Roscommon in Fr. O Hara Park, Charlestown. Final score Galway 2-10 Roscommon 1-08. Best of luck to all involved going forward.



Wishing the very best of luck to club player Chloe Crowe, the Galway ladies Minor Panel, their manager Daniel Moynihan along with his selectors in the All Ireland Minor Final against Cork on Monday next(Aug 4th) in St. Brendans Park, Birr, Offaly. Throw in 5:45pm. Please support
