For the first fifteen minutes both team were on even par with Glenamaddy slightly ahead on a score of 1-03 to Annaghdown 0-03. Annaghdown then took control of the game for the following 12 minutes where they kicked 8 pts from play without reply. Glenamaddy struck back in the dying minutes of the half with a goal and 2 pts to bring the half time score to Annaghdown 0-11 to Glenamaddy 2-05. Annaghdown started the 2nd half the stronger finding the back of the net within 2nd minute, but this was short lived as Glenamaddy were awarded a penalty in the fifth minute. Annaghdown's goalie Mary Kate Killilea produced a brilliant save and from the resulting play Annaghdown scored another point to keep them in the driving seat.
