This week’s lotto winning numbers: 2, 3, 10, 28. One match three: Ava Walsh c/o Yvonne Walsh Ballybeg, Michael Melia Kilcahill won the promoters prize and next jackpot €8350. We advanced to the second round of the Senior Championship with a win over Leitir Mor in Pearse Stadium on Sunday, played in miserable conditions with constant heavy rain throughout, we scored 2-5 without reply in the opening twenty minutes .Frankie Burke shooting three and Damien Comer adding two points each, while Martin O’Neill and Comer shot a goal each. Leitir Mor sole first half point came on twenty one minutes but further points from Frankie Burke, Comer and Ger Raftery give us a 2-8 to 0-1 half time advantage, The Connemara side shot the opening three points of the second but we responded with points from F Burke, Raftery and Joey Farragher to lead by 2-11 to 0-3 midway through the half, a goal from Patrick Marc O’Fatharta followed by two points made it 2-11 to 1-5 as we entered the last five minutes but a Goal from Chris Greaney and a brace of points from Frankie Burke saw us advance to meet Carraroe in the next round on a final score of 3-13 to 1-7. Our team was: T J Forde, F O’Doherty, A Pender, J Creaven, E Mullarkey, S Collier, J Farragher, M O’Neill, N Coleman, J Farragher, D Comer, A Burke, G Raftery, B Dooley, F Burke. Annaghdown Ladies Club are holding their annual football summer camp on July 7th-11th from 10am-2pm each day. Members and non members (boys and girls) aged 5-14 years are eligible to attend. Registration day is taken place on Sunday next June 15th 11:30am-1:00pm Cost 1 Child...€50, 2 Children...€80 and 3 + Children...€100. We are in preparation for "The Gathering" which is taking place on the weekend of 27th/28th June. Feile Peil Na nOg is taking place in Connacht and we are delighted at being a host club for the event. We are hosting Castlerahan/Denn/Deen Ladies club from Cavan.
There will be eight U14 girls teams including our own U14 girls participating in the event. The teams are divided into two groups as follows Division 2 Group A Annaghdown, Castlerhan/Denn(Cavan), Killucan(Westmeath), and Mountbellew Group B Ballinasloe, Cian Eireann (Armagh), Donaghmoyne (Monaghan ) and St. Brigids(Mayo) Game schedule for group A start on Friday 27th at 5.00pm with Annaghdown Vs Killucan and Mountbellew Vs Castlerahan/Denn/Den . On Saturday 28th games start at 11.00 with Annaghdown Vs Castlerahan/Denn. Play offs start at 3.00pm. A disco will take place on Saturday from 8 to 10:30 pm for Annaghdown boys and girls teams and both teams we are hosting. Tickets for family of 2 adults and 2 children €20, Adult €10 and Child €7.
