The Connacht Tain Hurling League Division 2 Final was played in the Connacht GAA Centre, Ballyhaunis with our Junior Hurlers emerging victorious after beating a very gallant Westport team on the score line of 1-16 to 3-9. Despite playing without a lot of regulars, great credit must be given to the squad on the day and throughout this competition for their efforts in bringing a first male adult Connacht title to the club and indeed nulled the feelings after losing last year’s county final and uplifted all for the year ahead. Credit to the players and mentors for this victory, may it be the start of many. Team was: C. Coen, J. King, M. O’Neill, M. Hanley, T. Burke, E. Mullarkey. A. Newell, S. Collier ,B. Creaven ,C. Butler ,C. Burke, E. Pierce , J. Comer,  N. Kinneen, Eamon Coffey Subs: A. Connaughton, P .Hession, T  .Hession,  S .Collier.

We drew with Killererin in the Div 1 league in Barnaderg on Sunday, it was disappointing team performance over all and in the end it took a late Niall Coleman point to give us a share of the spoils. After three games we have three points on the table. The team was: T J Forde, E Kerin, A Pender, J Creaven, E Mullarkey, S Collier, J Farragher, N Coleman 0-3, K Duggan, J Farragher, G Raftery 0-1, A Burke, M Coleman, B Dooley 0-4, F Burke 0-2.

The U14 hurlers played a semi final against Portumna in Kenny Park Athenry on Monday 5-May. The boys put on an excellent display of skill and teamwork which earned them an impressive win against the Portumna side. The final score was Annaghdown 2-08 to Potumna’s 1-02. This was an excellent result given that the boys had to pick themselves up again after a narrow and incident filled defeat by Sylane the previous weekend in the Feile final.  The Annaghdown boys are into the county final against yet to be decided opponents - either Sylane or Mountbellew Moylough. On the route to this final Annaghdown have had wins over Mountbellew, Skehana, Tuam, and Four Roads, with one loss to Sylane.  Team: Cian Maloney, Oisin O’Toole, David Tunney, Reece Burke, Adam Reilly, Darragh Hegarty, Darragh O’Sullivan, Cillian Naughton, Aaron Costello, Diarmuid Kilcommins (0-2), Adam Heneghan (0-4), Sean Mitchell, Cillian Goaley, Damian Curry (2-2), Ciaran Harkin; Subs Oisin Dillon (for C Harkin) Shane McLoughlin (for Cillian Goaley) Ethan Kilcoyne for D. O’Sullivan,  Jack McNicholas (for Reece Burke). Good luck to them into the final.
