The long awaiting 2016 minor A league Final between Annaghdown and Mountbellow/Moylough was played last Saturday in Cregg. Played in heavy conditions Annaghdown led at half time by 5 points to 3. In the second half Annaghdown pulled away and a goal from Jason Walshe early in the second half send Annaghdown on the road to victory. Mountbellow/Moylough scored a late consolation goal from a penalty and this was answered by two late points by sub Sean Harkin giving Annaghdown a comfortable 6 point victory. Cian O Toole picked up Man of the match while John Curry picked up the trophy for a delighted Annaghdown team and Management. No rest for the Minors as the lads under age for 2017 will be kicking off training next week.
Training continue for the Under 14 Football and hurling and under 16 hurling next week.
