At Inverin on Saturday we beat Carraroe in the Div 5 County Final (2015) by 1-9 to 0-7 with a good mix of youth and experience, at the break we had a two point advantage 0-5 to 0-3 Keith Greaney scored three of the first half points with Michael Devaney and Eoin Curry also on the scoreboard, Greaney scored the opening point of part two and when Wesley Fallon slotted home the goal we lead by 1-6 to 0-3, Carraroe replied with two points of their own to close the gap to four points.
Ian Burke and Greaney scored a brace before sub Tomas Murphy finishing our scoring with a well taken point as we captured the Div 5 cup with five points to spare. It was good all round display from the team lead by Captain James Healy who had a solid game in goal with Mike Naughton excelling in defence and a Man of the Match display from Michael Devaney at midfield while up front Keith Greaney was always a thorn in the Carraroe defence and he got good assistance from Eoin Curry while Wesley Fallon’s goal tilted the game in our favour.
