Glenroe Hurling Club
Glenroe Hurling Club, County Limerick
Glenroe GAAclub is situated in South County Limerick between Ballylanders andKilfinnane. Hurling in Glenroe has been played well before the birth ofthe GAA. At present Glenroe competes at intermediate level in Limerickhurling competitions, and caters from this age group down to boys andgirls at under-6 level. The club is going through a vibrant period atthe moment. The intermediate hurlers are a relatively young side witha sprinkling of players who have represented Limerick at inter-countylevel. While at Bord na n-Og level, there is a new spirit amongst theteams as they are once again competing with the best for honours atcounty level. Currently, the GAA club is going through the biggest project in the club's history. In the past few years, land was bought and two fields developed. There is a main playing field and a smaller flood-lit training/under-age field. The current phase of this development has been completed, and we are proud of the voluntary work put in by all those who helped build the new dressing rooms.
