We extend sympathy to Michael O’Carroll of Dunboyne Co. Meath and formerly of Drangan village on the recent death of his wife Hillary O’Carroll. Michael’s mother Mary (Mossy) served as the Nationalist Correspondent in Drangan for over 30 years. Michael himself was a well known footballer who lined out at centre field for the St. Patricks side who won the Co. Junior Football Final of 1967 which was played in April 1968 due to an outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease in livestock in late 1967. May Hillary rest in peace.
