Christmas with the Star’s: Christmas with the Stars 2019 is taking place in the Scouts Hall, Nenagh, on December 14th at 8pm. A total of 20 individual acts will be performing and the audience, once again, will have the opportunity to choose their favourite act from all the performers taking part in what is expected to be an unforgettable night’s entertainment.
Tickets are currently on sale and cost €20 each. They can be purchased from Adrian Grace’s Shoe Repair’s, Silver St, or from any Committee Member. You can also order tickets by texting your name and the number of tickets required to 089 435 0025. Please be advised that persons using this option must have their tickets paid for by December 6th, otherwise, any pre-ordered tickets that remain unpaid for after this date will be offered for sale. The Box Office in the Scout’s Hall will be open daily from 10am-4pm from December 2nd for ticket sale. Tickets are limited to 450 tickets and as of Sunday December 1st, there were more than 250 sold. It is advised to purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment as tickets may be not be available for sale on the night of the show.
There will be a full bar available on the night with a raffle and other entertainment taking place during the intermission. All proceeds from the night will go towards the financing of the driveway at the Brickfields complex, home to Nenagh AFC. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, supporters and friends for their continued patronage and support.
Club Driveway: All profits raised through the Christmas with the Star’s fundraiser, including the proceeds of last year’s show and other ring-fenced monies specifically raised by the club, will be used to tarmac the club driveway. Work, on this long-overdue and extremely costly project, is expected to begin shortly. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank its members, supporters, players, parents and the public at large for the understanding, patience and support given to it, as it tries to achieve this most important objective.
NTSL Results: U10’s- Nenagh A 7-0 Lough Derg, Nenagh B 10-3 Killavilla, Nenagh C 0-2 Borrisokane; U12A- Killavilla 1-8 Nenagh A, Nenagh B 0-4 Knigh United; U14’s Premier- Nenagh Celtic 0-2 Nenagh AFC, U14B’s- Nenagh B v Lough Derg, game abandoned due to player injury; U16’s- Moneygall 7-1 Nenagh AFC.
Party Room Available: As a result of inquiries from parents of our Juvenile squads, Nenagh AFC have decided to introduce a Juvenile Party Package. The package will consist of a one-hour slot on the astro-pitch and two hours in our upstairs party room. For more information please call to the office in Brickfields or call089 435 0025.
Academy Coaches: Due to the enormous success of our Academy training programme, the club are now actively seeking coaches to help out at this age level. If you, or someone you know, are interested in helping the development of these young players please contact Shane O’Gorman at Nenagh AFC or any committee member. Coaching positions are open to male and female coaches and training can be provided by the club for those wishing to partake.
Lotto: Last week’s Jackpot Prize was €2,600. As there was no jackpot winner, four lucky entrants each received a €50 Lucky Dip prize. Thank you to all our Lotto players for your continued support. Limerick League Results: Division 3 - Nenagh B 5-0 Hyde Rovers.
Touhey Cup: On Thursday December 5th, Nenagh A Junior team travel to Jackman Park to play Prospect in their first-round game. Kick-off is at 7pm and the team are leaving from Nenagh Railway Station at 5.30pm.
Training Schedule Updates: The Nenagh Tigers Academy, for players born between January 1st, 2012 and December 31st, 2013, is held every Thursday evening from 5.30-6.30pm. The U10’s train on Tuesday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm. The U12’s team trains on Wednesday evenings from 4.30-6.pm. The U11’s and U13’s teams have training on Monday and Thursday evenings at 5.30pm and 6.30pm respectively while the U14’s squad have training on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. The Under15/16’s will train together on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.30-6.30pm. Our Junior A team continues to train Tuesdays and Fridays evenings at 7pm. Training for the Junior B’s takes place in Brickfields every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30pm. New players and coaches for all age groups are always welcome.
Club Registration/Membership: Only players that have registered with the FAI through our associate Clubforce will be now be eligible to play for, and train with, Nenagh AFC. A link to Clubforce can be found on our website www.nenaghafc.ie. Anyone that needs assistance with their registration can come to Brickfields any Tuesday evening between 5-8pm where Angie will gladly assist you. Please bring a Debit/Credit Card to complete the registration process.
