Big win for Tinryland G.F.C. Sponsor at Carlow Business awards
Co. Final week got off to a great start on Thursday 28th September when our main club sponsor Seamus Byrne’s company SBE captured the overall award at the County Carlow chamber business awards night in the visual theatre. In a year that the SBE group (SBE, XENON and South East Electrical) celebrated its 40th anniversary the winning of this prestigious award was a well deserved
accolade for the Tinryland parish based firm that currently employs almost 100 people and has trained over 200 apprentices in the electrical industry during that time.
In the Bank of Ireland sponsored event S.B.E. reached the last six and had to fend off businesses such as Aptus, Delmec Engineering, Rathwood, Seerys Heatherfield Ltd and Walshe Juice.
Hopefully this win will be a good omen for the upcoming Co finals and relegation battle for our club and our sister club Bennekerry Tinryland in the next 3 days. Seamus Byrne himself the founder of SBE, Xenon and South east was a member of the last Tinryland team to win the Carlow senior championship.
