On a colder than usual morning at Paddy Burke Memorial Park the work continued in preparation for the return to football, which is not to far away. With hopes that the juvenile members will return to non contact training before the end of the month, work is progressing to ensure our facilities are ready to go. In recent weeks our Gym has been rearranged / painted, our clubhouse is now shining in the green and white of Milltown/Castlemaine GAA, the goalposts erected, fencing started around the main pitch, grass being cut on a continuous basis and so much more work has been done. It's with great thanks to the volunteers that have made all this happen. This morning there were a couple of very important jobs going on to ready our facilities at Paddy Burke Memorial Park for the future. Although the evenings ahead are will be getting brighter the lighting poles for our community walkway took centre stage this morning, an integral feature that had to be installed before the work can continue. They were all installed this morning and can be seen around the perimeter of the main field and training pitch 1.
Also continuing this morning was the laying of the initial surface of our clubs brand new community walkway, the entire track has now been dugout and the stone is being laid. It was a morning that a stroll around the grounds would leave you filled with excitement for whats to come. The extra facilities of the walkway and socialistation area etched in my mind while I gazed across the fabulous surface that our players will soon grace.
Stay tuned for more updates 💚🤍
