MEMBERSHIP:

Membership - Online registration via Clubforce

Membership for Gaeil Triúcha 2021 will operate on our club app Clubforce.

With the ongoing COVID19 crisis the need for online registration is greater than ever this year. You will need to download the Clubforce app from the app store or google store if you do not already have it for lotto.

Paper registration will be available in some cases for those who don't have access to a smart device or broadband.

All enquires re membership can be made to our club registrar Shane Mc Kenna on 0871215838 or email Shanemichealmckenna@gmail.com.

It is extremely important that ALL players (Juvenile – Senior) are registered as soon as possible.  There will be a strict policy of “registration before participation” so anyone with boots at the house and you are thinking of using them…. GET REGISTERED!

Truagh Ladies:

Level Playing Field with Lidl:

There are still a few days left to help support Gaeil Triúcha Ladies with this initiative.  Register for the Lidl Plus app and every time you spend €30 or more scan the app and this will enter on the Truagh Ladies digital stamp card and will go towards the Club receiving a potential reward of a new set of Lidl sponsored jerseys.  The closing date is Sunday 11th April, so please support.

Return to play!

We welcome the likelihood of a return to train on the 26th of April and hopefully fixtures commencing 4 weeks later, before the end of May.  Thank you to all Juvenile and Senior players who have renewed their registration in recent weeks.  Registration is still open via the Clubforce app.

CULTURE:

Farney Siamsa Challenge

Go raibh míle maith agat to all our club members who submitted videos to the Siamsa challenge. The challenge has been a huge success and has brought so much entertainment and culture into our homes.

The range of talent within Gaeil Triúcha was very much front, and centre of this challenge and we are so proud of each, and every one of our members that shared a video over the month.

HEALTH & WELLBEING:

Healthy Club – Series of Talks: Oisín McConville

A massive thank you to Oisín for his time and for sharing his story with us.  It was an evening of eye-opening experiences both on and off the pitch from one of the most respected names in the GAA.

Ireland Lights Up 2021

There are currently discussions ongoing with representatives from both Sport Ireland and the Department of Health to determine when the programme is most likely to start. They are hopeful for a further update in advance of the 5th of April.

Minimum Fitness Test

Operation Transformation, in collaboration with DCU School of Health and Human Performance, have developed the Minimum Fitness Tests to demonstrate the minimum fitness standard for your age group. These tests are designed to show you where you sit within the minimum standards of physical fitness and give you a target to aim for within your age bracket and gender. You can find details of this via the following link: Operation Transformation 2021 » Operation Transformation Minimum Fitness Test (rte.ie)

GAA ‘Be Ready to Play’

The Gaelic Games family launched ‘Be Ready to Play’, a Coaching and Sport Science programme in association with UPMC, official healthcare partner of the GAA and GPA, that will be delivered via webinars, website programmes, instructional videos and live online sessions. The programme is a holistic coaching and performance plan that will be of great benefit to all club coaches and players, male, female, adult, and youth alike. It will help them return to training post Covid in a way that will hopefully increase enjoyment, performance, and participation, while simultaneously reducing the risk of injury. Further details can be found here: Groundbreaking 'Be Ready to Play' coaching programme launched (gaa.ie)
