This was a hard-fought game for our Intermediate team who had to dig deep to overcome their battling opponents in rainy conditions in Woodside on Sunday evening. Having been behind by 0-7 to 0-4 at half-time, St Patricks reduced the deficit to the minimum (0-8 to 0-7) on 38 minutes with points from the excellent Jack Kennedy (2) and Brian Byrne. But this spurred Clonmore into action and points from the experienced Con Murphy, county U20 panellists Luke Connolly, Rob Bulmer and Dylan Doyle and a great goal by Billy Lawlor in the 48th minute gave the home team a six point lead (1-11 to 0-8) which we held until the end. Our next Div 2 game is away to the Fighting Cocks on Friday at 8pm.
