Annaghdown GAA

There was no winner of this weeks lotto jackpot.  The numbers drawn were 2, 7,8 and 9 and these produced four match 3's:- Sean O'Halloran c/o Clarkes, Peter Fahy c/o O Fahy, Edel Coen c/o Una Coen, Nicholas Burke On-Line. The next draw will take place on Tuesday January 2nd for a Jackpotof  €4,600.

 

We wish to all our members and their families, patrons, sponsors, supporters and indeed all Annaghdown people at home and around the world a Happy New Year and best wishes for 2018.  Thanks for the support both on and off the field. 

 

On St. Stephen's day a large crowd turned out for the Annual Declan Regan memorial tournament played on the Astro Turf facilities in Corrandulla.  Great to see this cross club support in the parish.  With teams representing hurling, football, soccer and a 'legends' selection there were a couple of hours great entertainment.  Refreshments were provided in the hall by Declan's family.  Aidan Joyce's soccer team won the day with the winning goal coming from Brian Nerwell, Toneagurran.  Later in the evening all retired to Regans of Clonboo for speeches and the presentations. Well done to all involved and thanks to the parish council for the use of the facilities. All proceeds on the day go to Cancer Care West.
