St. Patricks GAA Club

On Saturday last the Annual Mary Moroney Tournament was contested by four Under 16 teams in glorious sunshine. St. Patricks defeated Gortnahoe-Glengoole in the first semi final with Moneygall defeating Rosegreen in the second semi final. In the Shield Final Gotnahoe-Glengoole defeated Rosegreen and St. Patricks defeated Moneygall in the final. We thank referees Paddy Ivors and Paul Guinan who refereed two matches each, the parents who provided food and refreshments and the players and team mentors from all four teams. Captain Liam Richardson was presented with the Mary Moroney cup by Mary's brother Eamon who also presented the man of the match to Jack Gleeson. The team was Rhys Davies, Eddie Hayden, Eoin O'Brien, Jack Slattery, Darragh Fitzgerald, Liam Richardson (Captain), Paddy O'Brien, Robbie O'Brien, James Egan, Tom Butler, Bobby Purcell, Aidan Morrissey, Jack Ryan, Jack Gleeson, Rory O'Brien, Bobby Clancy. Mickey O'Brien was away with the Co. under 15 team and Turlough Moroney was unable to line out due to an injury received while playing under 17 in Killea last Wednesday. Well done to all the boys.
