On Tuesday week last Dragan School had two teams in Co. Finals in Semple Stadium.
The hurlers lost to a very strong Ballytarsna team and were not helped when Jack Gleeson
Carried a hand injury into the game and captain Turlough Moroney had to leave the field with a fractured bone in his hand. The team was: Mikey O’Brien, Donncha Foley, Rosie Brien, Turlough Moroney (captain), Tiernan O’Brien, Jack Gleeson. Darragh Fitzgerald, Eoin O’Brien,Rhys Davies.
In the camogie final the Drangan Girls defeated Barnane after a great Battle with captain Zoe Duggan giving an outstanding display in goal. The team was: Zoe Duggan (capt), Kara O’Dwyer, Réiltín Kenny Casey, Rosie O Brien, Sally Power, Kate Flanagan, Niamh Aspell. Subs Sarah O Brien, Hannah Lacy, Emma Healy, Abbie O Brien sick and
Kitty Aspell sick.
Reaching two Co. finals was a great achievement and winning one was great. A special word for Rosie O’ Brien who lined out in both finals.
