The Annual Mary Moroney Juvenile Hurling Tournament was held at Anner Park Cloneen on last Saturday June 18. In the first games St. Patricks defeated Gortnahoe-Glengoole by 3-10 to 2-5 and Moneygall-Clonakenny defeated Gortnahoe-Glengoole by 4-14 to 6-7. In the final Moneygall-Clonakenny defeated St. Patricks by 3-9 to 0-9 to retain the cup they had won last year with St. Patricks collecting the shield. We thank all the teams and their mentors for coming to Anner Park last Saturday and also referee Philip Keane. A special word of thanks to the ladies who helped with catering and brought along sandwiches, cakes, buns and tarts.
