Under 19 and Junior A Hurling

Last week was a busy one for some of hurlers with both U19's and Junior A Hurlers in action with some players playing 3 games in 5 days due to poor fixture making by the South Board.

First up was our U19's who played Grangmockler last Wednesday in Mullinahone. Both teams were already through to the Semi Finals and were missing some players for this match. Grangemockler won in the end by 6 points which meant our lads would play Fethard in the Semi Final.

The Semi Final took place last Sunday evening in Monroe. While we started strong and were up by 4 points at the 1st water break, Fethard went ahead in the 2nd quarter and held the lead right up to the final whistle. This ended our involvement in the U19 Hurling for the year and attention now turns to the U19 Football which begins this Wednesday.  The panel of players for the 2 games was: Danny Broderick, Jack Cuddihy, Bill Cuddihy,  Bob Barton, Keith Morrissey, Jack Cleere, Robbie Noonan, James Ryan, Cian Crannitch, Willie Cleere, Aidan Fitzgerald, Tommy O Brien, Matt McCormack, Cathal Foley, Daithi Hogan, Ryan Crannitch, Jamie Brett, Luke Fox, Brian O Halloran, Eoin Fitzgerald

Our Junior A Hurlers were in action last Saturday evening where Newcastle were our opponents. Just like our previous game against Cahir we just couldnt convert chances into scores and as a result ended up drawing once again on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-16. We go into our final game against Clonmel Óg needing a win to have a chance of qualifying for the knockout stage. The team on the night was: Marcus O Halloran, Ryan Crannitch, Barry O Dwyer, Conor Gorey, Cian Crannitch, Nicky Kearney, Conor Clancy, Conor Duggan, Ciaran Mockler, Aidan Fitzgerald, Aidan Buckley, Pauric O Brien, Tommy O Brien, Tony O Brien, Cathal Foley, Jamie Broderick, Michael Boland, Conor Barry, Mikey O Brien, Sean Ryan, Cameron Moynihan, James Fitzgerald, Darren Boland, Matt McCormack, Eoin Ryan.
