U13 Boys Win Féile Final and crowned Juvenile Team of the Year 2011

Congratulations to the U13 boys that won the Féile Final on Mon. 10th Oct. in Darver and were awarded the title of Juvenille Team of the Year 2011.

It was great that this team got the result they deserved having just lost out in the league by a point. Despite the weather conditions the team produced a great result that was well earned. Adam was a proud captain receiving the trophy from Sean Reid Vice Chairman Louth Minor Football. This is a well deserved award and to be named Juvenille Team of the Year is a great honour for the team, the mentors, parents and the club. We are very proud of you lads. Well done lads. Final score Newtown Blues 2-8 Dundalk Gaels 2-6

Well done to the U14 Boys who won the Peter Judge Championship for 2011
There were great celebrations in Darver on 3rd Oct. as the U14 took the Championship title in a great win over Melifont Rovers. This team will add the Championship title to the League title won already this year. It's great to see all the hard work of the players and their mentors paying off. Well done lads and a special thanks to John Donohue, Dessie Murray, Colm Nally & Martin Carr for all the hard work. Final Score Blues 6-07 to Melifont Rovers 1-11.

Minor Boys through to Shield Final
Congratulations also to the Minor team that have secured their place in the Shield Final having beaten the Plunketts in a tough contest on Sat. 8th Oct. The lads played with great composure and kept their sights firmly on the end result despite some tough challenges. It was great to see the discipline of the team shine through and reflects on how well the team have been coached throughout the season. Good luck in the final lads.
