Tinryland G.F.C. Club Notes
The season came to a disappointing end on Saturday last when the U20 team tamely bowed out of the B championship at the quarter final stage against Askea. This was a game Tinryland could have won but they hardly deserved to after a flat performance against their Carlow town rivals.
Playing against a strong wind in the first half Tinryland led for 28 minutes but then conceded a soft goal and in the 2nd half Askea found the Tinryland net twice to run out winners on a score of 3-4 to 0-11. Tinryland’s best players in this game were Paddy Regan, Mark Mullen, Vivian Nixon, Cian Nichol and Luke Broderick.
The Tinryland G.F.C. Christmas Draw was launched last Tuesday and will take place on Friday 23rd December. Prizes are as follows. 1st prize €1000, 2nd prize €500, 3rd prize €250 plus hamper, 4th prize €150 plus hamper, 5th prize €100 plus hamper. All club teams are requested to sell tickets for this draw which is a vital fund raiser for the club.
The club A.G.M. has been fixed for Friday 9th December at 8 p.m.
The club lotto jackpot now stands at €3700 and can be played via the Tinryland G.F.C. club force app or by purchasing a ticket from any committee member.
