Tinryland G.F.C. Club Notes
Ballon U20’s proved too strong for a disappointing Tinryland in the Stryve U20 (B) championship played in Rathcrogue on Friday last. Tinryland were competitive for the opening quarter and led 4 points to 1 after 15 minutes. In a major turnaround from then on Ballon began to dominate scoring the only goal of the game in the 27th minute and they outscored Tinryland by 8 points to 2 in the 2nd half to run out easy winners. Tinryland are still in the championship by virtue of a walk over in the earlier rounds and will now contest the quarter final against the 2nd placed team in Group 1.
Tinryland G.F.C. will hold an injury benefit night in the clubhouse on Saturday next 19th November at 8 p.m. This will be a joint venture with Bennekerry-Tinryland ladies club. A meeting to finalise this event will be held this Monday evening after the weekly lotto draw.
The lotto jackpot now stands at €3400 and can be played online via the clubforce app or by purchasing a ticket from any committee member.
The Tinryland G.F.C. A.G.M. has been fixed for Friday 9th December at 8 p.m.
