U17 Bagenalstown Gaels V Tinryland 

Tinryland minors followed up on their win over Clonmore with a comprehensive win in McGrath Pk against Bagenalstown Gaels . The Hoops proved way too strong for the home team and after a few early missed chances, Sean Murphy finally got the scoring started with a well taken goal. Tinryland followed up with with some lovely points in the first half from Jonah Webb, Conall McGuire (3), Daniel Walsh, and Jamie Doyle (2). Peter Whelan added to the tally with a cracking shot to the roof of the net leaving the Tinryland score at half time score 2-7. Some excellent defending by our full back line of Ross Moran, Charlie Keogh & Ben Yeates keep Bagenalstown to just 0-1 at h/t. 



The second half continued the same, the hard work by midfielder Bobby Doyle, Mikey Byrne at half forward and the half back line of Robbie Fitzgerald, Daniel Walsh and Vivien Nixon helped set up some lovely scores from Peter (3), Jonah 1-4, Conall (2), Jack Ralph (1-1) and Vivien (0-1). Bagenalstown to their credit never gave up and goalie Aaron Power was reliable as always between the sticks.

Final score:  Bag. Gaels 0-3 Tinryland 4-18.
