Tinryland success at Tipperary races
The Tinryland colours of blue and white hoops were successfully carried to victory at Tipperary racecourse on Thursday last 1st July when Tucson Train won the Tipperary Town maiden hurdle in the hands of jockey Danny Mullins.
The winning horse is owned in partnership by Shay Byrne of Linkardstown and Joe Walshe from Ballybar who both figured on the last Tinryland team to win the Carlow S.F.C. Tucson Train is trained in Goresbridge by Tom Mullins uncle of the winning jockey.
The winner started favourite at a shade of odds on having run a very promising race at Punchestown at the end of May. Tucson Train was bred by Meliosa Walshe and is by top sire Scorpion out of the Walshe’s mare Galant Tour.
The winner will now head to the Galway races at the end of July.
