Training resumes for Adult players under new coach Steve O’Meara
There was a very good response from adult players to the opening training sessions that took place this week.
The players were introduced to new manager Steve O’Meara on Monday 10th May and completed a second session on Thursday 13th May.
Steve O’Meara is a former Galway and Carlow performance analyst who hails from the Ballyboughal club in north Dublin. He filled the assistant manager role with top club Corofin who won 4 All Ireland club titles during his tenure with the east Galway team. Steve was also involved with Galway senior footballers when they won the Connacht S.F. title under manager Kevin Walsh in 2018.
He took over from Stephen Poacher as the assistant coach to Turlough O’Brien with Carlow senior footballers for a brief period before Covid struck in 2020.
The new Tinryland manager has also coached in his native Dublin being involved with Raheny and D.I.T. freshers.
