A huge thank you to Mike Quirke, Jonathon O’Sullivan and Sean Brosnan who have all volunteered to be part of our pitch maintenance team at Milltown/Castlemaine GAA.
Mike has been cutting the field for 2 months now with a big thanks to Emmett Spring who cut the field until that point all throughout its early stages. Mike has now been joined by Jonathon and Sean to make up the dream team to keep the playing surface in pristine condition at Paddy Burke Memorial Park.
The pitch is cut 3 times a week and it takes roughly just over 2 hours each time to cut the 20,000 sq metres of playing surface.
A huge thank you to the Mike, Jonathon, Sean and Emmett for their time and efforts along with all the volunteers who continue to help us get ready for a return to football only days away
