Nominations for the 2021 Ards and North Down Sports Awards are opening soon
The 2021 Ards and North Down Sports Awards Ceremony on Friday the 11th of March 2022 at Bangor’s Marine Court Hotel. The aim of the Awards Ceremony is to recognise, promote and reward local sporting achievement of teams and individuals across the Ards and North Down Borough. The nominations will open at 12noon on Friday 3rd December 2021 and close Friday 7th January 2022 at 4pm.
Whether it is someone you admire for their passion in sport, or who has inspired you, has instilled great confidence in you or perhaps they have given up a lot of their free time to help in a sporting club, there are so many reasons why you can nominate that sporting star, that person who has made an impact on you. Let that person know just how much their contribution and achievements are appreciated and recognised.
We will be seeking nominations from sports clubs, schools, governing bodies of sport, individuals and members of the public to nominate their sporting stars, volunteers, coaches and sports teams in the borough before the closing date on Friday the 7th of January 2022 at 4pm.
We invite your club to nominate individuals or teams in one or more of the ten categories listed below:
- Sports Person of the Year
- Sports Person of the Year U18
- Sports Person of the Year U15
- Sports Team of the Year
- U18 Junior Sports Team of the Year
- U15 Junior Sports Team of the Year
- Sports Coach of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Lifetime Service Recognition
- Wall of Fame Inductee
Clubs may enter multiple nominations for awards but are limited to one nomination per category.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you, for the fantastic work you do in the community in helping to promote and deliver sporting opportunities across the Ards and North Down Borough.
