St Loman’s Club Notes 14/07/2025

Under-20s St Loman’s Mullingar 2-17 Caulry 5-18

Our Under-20 team were back in action this week in what was a great opportunity for this talented group to gain more valuable experience together. While the scoreboard may not have gone our way, the lads showed great heart, energy, and determination from start to finish.

This team continues to grow with every outing, and it’s fantastic to see younger players stepping up and embracing the challenge of championship football. The coaching team is proud of the group’s commitment and teamwork, and there’s no doubt that these players will form the backbone of St. Loman’s senior sides in the years to come.

U16 Ladies Championship St Loman’s Mullingar 4-16 Goldsmith Girls 1-10

Our U16 Ladies picked up a strong win in their latest championship outing, defeating Goldsmith Girls 4-16 to 1-10.

The result reflects the effort the team has been putting in at training and the focus they’ve brought to every game. It’s a solid step forward in their campaign, and credit goes to the players and coaches for keeping standards high.

Plenty still to work on, but the group is moving in the right direction.

All-Ireland Semi-Final Representation

Hard luck to our six fantastic senior players who lined out with Westmeath in the All-Ireland Intermediate Semi-Final against Tyrone on Sunday in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Despite a tough result, Lara McCartan, Lucy McCartan, Katie Kilmurray, Caoimhe Kilmurray, Vicki Carr, and Megan Ennis can all hold their heads high after a brilliant year at inter-county level. Representing both St. Loman’s and Westmeath with pride, their effort, commitment, and performances throughout the campaign have been outstanding.

Well done to all six for being part of a strong Westmeath panel that pushed hard all season.

Leinster Fleadh Success

Well done to the talented group of girls who proudly represented St. Loman’s at the Leinster Fleadh in Drogheda. The team delivered a fantastic performance and came away with a well-deserved 3rd place finish.

A special word of thanks to their coach, Rebecca Kelly, for her dedication and support in preparing the group. A great achievement for all involved – congratulations!
