Clonmore GFC

The AGM was held in the clubhouse on Saturday evening. Reports by Chairman, James Doyle, and Secretary, Clive Lambe, reviewed the year where the highlights on the playing field were the Under 20s winning the "B" Championship and the Intermediates & Juniors reaching their Championship quarter finals. Off the field, the big news is Jim Bolger's candidature for the GAA Presidency and the Chairman pledged the club's full support to Jim in his quest to become the first Carlow man to hold the highest office in the land.







The Chairman thanked the Juvenile Committee for their excellent reports and for the great work being done at juvenile level.







Treasurers, Matt Cullen and Bobby Connolly, provided a detailed financial report showing that the club is in a healthy financial position, and the public were thanked for their generous support for our weekly Lotto, various fundraising draws and the Walking Track.







Clive Lambe received a well deserved round of applause as he steps down after seven successful years as Secretary of the club. Among Clive's many achievements were a number of successful Sports Capital Grant applications, including a 2020 grant of €41,000 which will be used to level the adjoining field. The Secretary position is now vacant and anyone interested should contact James Doyle. Clive will stay on as Assistant Secretary and will be available to support the incoming Secretary. The Chairman welcomed new members, Paul Byrne and Ted Forde, to the Executive Committee.







Membership Officer, Des Byrne, was congratulated an an excellent job in increasing the number of club members to over 100 for the first time ever. After a vote, it was decided to increase Membership Fees for 2020 to €40 for adult members and €30 for Minors and Students.
