Club Notes

Dear Member,

I hope you are continuing to keep well and stay safe.

I am writing to let you know that the Clubhouse and Dressing Rooms remain closed until 10 August following a decision taken earlier this week by the GAA. We have also been advised that individuals must be informed that much of the responsibility for managing Covid-19 risk remains with themselves particularly in relation to social distancing, wearing of face coverings, and sanitisation.

In summary, please note the following essential measures which have been put in place to reduce risks for members:
Covid signage around the Clubhouse and grounds must be observed.
Team managers/mentors only can access the Clubhouse to collect games equipment, nets etc. The Clubhouse must be locked immediately after the equipment is collected.
No access to the Dressing Rooms under any circumstances.
Hand sanitisers must be used on accessing and exiting the Clubhouse.
Access to a toilet is available only in the case of emergency, and on request to a manager/mentor or Covid Supervisor.
Attendance at all matches is limited to 200 and social distancing must be observed. Unfortunately, we cannot encourage people to come along and support teams as we normally would.
Any spectators that do come are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitiser, while the use of face coverings is strongly advised for all patrons over the age of 13. All are encouraged to download the HSE tracing app.
All players and managers must complete the GAA Return to Play Form in advance of playing matches or training. They cannot participate otherwise.
Hand sanitisers must be used, and equipment must be cleaned thoroughly.
Finally, a number of our teams are playing championship games this weekend including the intermediate hurlers away to Naomh Olaf, the minor footballers play Fingallians at home, and the junior hurlers also take on Civil Service at home. This is a welcome return to action, and we wish them well.

Regards,

Gerry McDonagh,
Secretary.
