Coiste na Réiteoirí Átha Cliath is organising a Foundation Course for those who wish to become adult-level GAA Referees in Dublin. 

 

The Course (which is free) will be held in January 2020, over 3 nights in Parnell Park, Donnycarney, Dublin 5. The three nights are:

 

• Thursday 16th January

• Thursday 23rd January

• Monday 27th January

 

The course will commence at 7.30pm each night.

 

We are appealing to all Clubs in Dublin to actively try to identify members within your Club who are willing to take up the whistle at adult level in the County. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the Appointments Committee to find Referees to cover the vast number of games played at adult level in Dublin each weekend. In particular, there is a notable shortage of adult level Referees in North County Dublin.

 

We appeal especially to those Clubs who have no (or very few) Referees at adult level to support this initiative and to send representatives to this Foundation Course.

 

If your Club circulates a weekly newsletter to Members, could I ask you to include this notification in it? Could I also ask you to publicise this Referee Foundation Course in any other way possible within your Club?
