We extend sympathy to the Denn Family Cloran on the recent death of their mother Mrs. Bridget Denn (Formerly Bridget Gregg of Mullinahone).The Denn Family have made a major contribution to life in the parish with an involvement in the GAA that goes back almost half a century since John was first a member of St. Patricks Juvenile teams. Kathleen’s husband Robert O’Riordan has served as caretaker in Anner Park and has been the caretaker of Cloneen National School for several years. Their son Daniel has served St. Patricks GAA club as both a player and a fund raiser. Josephine’s sons Jamie and Conor Brett continue to be regular players with St. Patricks having won South Junior Football and 2 South Under 19 Hurling Championships. James and Lorraine are selectors and coaches with our under 7 teams with Óisin a regular member of under 7 teams. Breda’s daughter Elaine is the mother of Rhys Davies who is our under 13 goalkeeper in both football and hurling and also minds the net for our under 15 footballers.
May the soul of Bridget Denn rest in Peace.
We also extend sympathy to Mrs. Carol Foley, Lisnatubrid, Ballypatrick and Thomas (Chucky) Pritchard on the recent death of their brother Roy Pritchard of Newtown Drangan. Roy who was predeceased by his wife Clarissa had resided in Dragan for over 20 years was a well-known and well liked plumber with Prouts of Killusty. May Roy rest in peace in the Assumption Graveyard in Drangan
