The Mary Moroney Tournament
On Saturday last the Annual Tournament for The Mary Moroney Cup was held in Anner Park Cloneen with 3 teams participating. In the first game St. Patricks defeated Moneygall.
In the second game Silvermines defeated St. Patricks and Moneygall defeated Silvermines in the third game. All three games were played in atrocious weather conditions with rain
falling continuously. Silvermines won the cup on score difference, with St. Patricks collecting the shield. We thank the mothers and others who provided tea, sandwiches, buns and
cakes for all present. Thanks also to referees Adam Kealy and Paddy Ivors who braved the elements to keep things moving. St Patricks players in action were: Jamie Holohan, Dara Browne, Turloigh Moroney (Captain), Liam Richardson, Eoin O'Brien, Donncha Foley, Conor Danagher, Tiernan O'Brien, James Egan, Jack Gleeson, Tom Butler, Daniel Holden,
