This week we go back 50 years to recall one of our great prospects taken too early. Noel Brett of Ballynennan died on Monday 3rd June 1974 having been injured at work 

in a forestry accident a few days earlier. Noel was a good hurler and a very determined young man with a great future both on and off the sportsfield.. May he rest in peace.


