Tinryland G.F.C. club Notes 3rd April 2024
Tinryland senior footballers will host our neighbours Palatine at 8 p.m. on this Friday 5th April in a game that will double as the S.F.L round 5 and the Andy Murphy shield final in aid of Carlow Hospice.
Our U14 team will host Railyard on this evening (Wednesday) at 7.30 p.m.in the Cental U14 group 3A.
Details have recently been announced for the staging of the 3rd annual South east juvenile football tournaments over 3 weekends in late June and early July. Over 1400 young players representing 96 boys and girls teams will participate in the tournaments which begin on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd June with 7 a side games for u16 girls on the Saturday and U16 boys on the Sunday. On the following weekend of the 29th and 30th June it will be the turn of the girls and boys u14 9 a side while on weekend July 6th and 7th the U12 girls and boys 11 a side teams will take to the pitches in Rathcrogue. Club teams from as far away as Donegal, Louth and Dublin will join with teams from Carlow, Wexford, Laois, Kildare, Wicklow, Waterford and Tipperary. On the final day on the 7th July KCLR radio will broadcast live from the venue.
Our club lotto jackpot now stands at €6600 and can be played online via the club force app or by purchasing a ticket from any committee member. Lucky dip winners on Monday last were: Pat Foster, Padraic Whelan, Michael Ryan and Bid Fields.
