  Tinryland G.F.C. club notes 5th November 2023

The juvenile section of the club held the 1st of 2 awards nights on Friday last for players up to U13 level. The Mick “Yank” Farrell shield for U13 club player of the year was won by Logan Coleman who showed a great attitude in training and games throughout the year. The 2nd awards night for U15 and U17 players will take place on this coming Friday 10th November at 7.30 p.m. Both teams will receive their Co. championship medals at this function.

Winter training for juveniles U11 to U16 from Tinryland G.F.C. and Bennekerry/Tinryland girls club will commence this Monday evening 6th November at 7 p.m.

Our U15 championship winning team will embark on a day outing to Wicklow on Saturday next 11th November.

Fixtures and dates were recently announced for the Stryve U20 football championship which will commence on week ending 26th November. Tinryland will compete in the B championship in a group comprising of Ballon, Askea and Kildavin-Clonegal. The championship will run throughout December.

The joint Tinryland GAA and Bennekerry/Tinryland ladies club dinner dance will be held in Ballykealy House on Friday 24th November. Tickets cost €40. Work is underway to produce the 26th annual “Reaching Out” Tinryland parish magazine and club members are encouraged to submit articles photos and club reports for inclusion. These should be emailed to mbyrne242@hotmail.com.

The club lotto jackpot currently stands at 4400 euro and can be played online via the Tinryland G.F.C. clubforce app or by purchasing a ticket for the Monday night draw from any committee member.

The numbers drawn in last weeks lotto were 4,7,18 and 31. Lucky dip winners were Jim and Marie Farrell, Patrick O’Neill, Nicholas Ryan and Kayleigh and Emily O’Reilly.
